Help me prove this to my friend. Reblog if you wouldn’t care if your partner was trans.

I would care. I would care because in any relationship, partners should care for and support each other, because honesty and trust are important, because I love my partner for who ze is, not what’s under zir clothes, and if I couldn’t support my partner while being in a relationship with zir, I’d damn well (tactfully) say so and then be as supportive as possible as a damn good friend.

I would care because I did care when my boyfriend told me ze was actually my girlfriend, and even though we’re no longer together (for reasons that had nothing to do with zir, and way too much to do with my substance abuse), we’re still best friends.

Trans people aren’t defined by being trans, they’re defined by being PEOPLE.
